On Thursday 29th February, 2024, the Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute (THTI) orchestrated a memorable initiative—the Tobago East Community Caravan – which was a focal point for education, camaraderie and brand awareness. As villagers, passersby, and children eagerly gathered, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, showcasing the power of community engagement and collaboration.
From the outset, the caravan captured the imagination of locals and visitors alike. Drawing upon the rich tapestry of Tobagonian culture, the caravan embodied the true essence of hospitality and education for all.
One of the many highlights of the caravan was the interactive workshop led by THTI students, offering insights into the world of work, their experiences at this esteemed institution and internship and career opportunities in their respective fields of study.
However, the success of the Tobago East Community Caravan would not have been possible without the invaluable participation of the Mt. St. George Police Youth Club.
Mt St. George Police Youth Club Members, Tobago
The club’s members’ active involvement, boundless enthusiasm and brilliant young minds were eager to learn more about tourism opportunities, and hospitality careers.
The Mt. St. George Police Youth Club exemplified the spirit of community service, embodying the ethos of leadership, education and empowerment. By actively engaging with attendees and fostering a sense of inclusion, they helped create a welcoming environment where individuals from all walks of life could come together and forge meaningful connections for a brighter future ahead.
Through collaborative endeavors such as this, we have the opportunity to inspire, ignite a passion for learning and foster a sense of pride for hospitality and tourism for Tobagonians and at large the rest of the world.
