The Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute (THTI) recently embarked on an exciting journey across the island with the North-Eastern Community Caravan on 17th July, 2024. Spearheaded by our dedicated Marketing Department and Mr. Kirton Sorias, the initiative aimed to bring the message of endless possibilities in hospitality and tourism education directly to the doorsteps of Tobagonians.
Over the course of our caravan, we visited ten vibrant communities: Goodwood, Goldsborough, Richmond, Belle Garden, Argyle, Roxborough, Speyside, Charlottesville, L’Anse Fourmi, and Moriah. Each stop was an opportunity to engage with community members, share information about the benefits of pursuing an Associate Degree or Short Courses at THTI, and offer insights into the dynamic world of hospitality and tourism.

In each community, we connected with local library services and police youth clubs, ensuring that valuable information about our programmes and opportunities was readily available. This outreach was met with enthusiasm and interest, as residents explored how THTI can help them achieve their educational and career goals.
The caravan was a resounding success, creating a ripple of excitement and curiosity about THTI’s offerings. It was heartening to see the positive response from the communities and their eagerness to learn more about what THTI has to offer.

Our Acting CEO, Mr. Kirton Sorias met with the general manager of Blue Waters Inn Hotel to discuss THTI’s comprehensive training programmes.
The discussions centered on how THTI’s specialized courses and training initiatives can benefit Blue Waters Inn’s staff, enhancing their skills and improving overall service quality. Both parties expressed enthusiasm about future collaborations aimed at elevating hospitality standards and creating new opportunities for growth and success.
Stay tuned, as the THTI Community Caravan might be coming to your area soon!
