Overview

Our PATH THTI  programme (Preparing Adults for Transition to Higher Education) formerly Pre-Qualifying Programme is aimed at providing interested persons with four or less CXC, CSEC and GCE O’Levels, introductory knowledge of the core courses within the Associate and Diploma programmes. On successful completion of the foundation courses, students can qualify for admittance to a degree programme.

Duration

The PATH THTI programme is completed in 10 weeks. Classes would be conducted fully online.

The dates for the 2025 placement exam are as follows:

Tuesday 6th May, 2025 – PATH English placement exam

Thursday 8th May, 2025 – PATH Math placement exam 

Course Outline

The PATH THTI course is completed in ONE semester. Prospective Students will complete the following courses:

  • Foundation Mathematics

  • Foundation English

  • Fundamentals in Culinary Arts

  • Fundamentals in Dining Room Services

  • Fundamentals in Hospitality and Tourism

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the PATH THTI programme you should

  • Be at least sixteen (16) years of age before the date of application

  • Pass a basic Math & English evaluation test
