Course Description:
This introductory course presents the student with the concept of Bookkeeping and the basics of Accounting. It will equip students with the ability to differentiate between the two and understand the principles and basic elements of each. This course prepares students to navigate the financial aspects of business from both a theoretical and practical aspect.

Ms. Ikeisha Niles has been an Accounting Officer at the Tobago Hospitality & Tourism Institute (THTI) since 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy and Finance from the Heriot Watt University as well the Association of Business Executives (ABE). Ms. Niles also holds an Advanced Diploma in Business Management and serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at THTI. Ms. Niles loves numbers and teaching from a young age, using her passion to pursue training at the UWI endorsed programme as a Tutor of Adult Literacy. She has also completed the COSTAATT Teacher Education Training programme.
