Mocktails are the ideal option whether you’re the designated driver, don’t drink, or are just searching for a tasty and refreshing beverage. To make sure you don’t sacrifice flavor or enjoyment, the Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute will walk you through the steps of making the ideal mocktail in this blog, courtesy our Bar Operations students.
Suitable for any occasion, get ready to impress your friends and family with these delicious alcohol-free concoctions while you sip, smile and stay refreshed with amazing flavors!
Recipe 1: Deja’s Non-Alcoholic Cooler (Shandy)
Ingredients:
- Sorrel Shandy
- 6 Strips Red Sweet Peppers
- 3 Slices Lemon
- 10 Leaves of Mint
- 1 ½ Spoons White Sugar
Garnishes:
- Sweet Pepper Strips Mint
Instructions:
- Muddle the fruits and vegetables into Sorrel Shandy.
- Add sugar and stir gently to combine all ingredients.
- Filling the serving glass with ice cubes, double strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and a few slices of bell pepper and serve chilled.
Recipe 2:Â MAI TAI
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Club Soda
- 1 oz. Orange Juice
- 3/4 oz. Lime Juice
- 1/4 oz. Orgeat Syrup
Garnishes:Â
- Sweet Pepper StripsMintÂ
Instructions:
- Fill a beverage glass halfway with ice.
- In a shaker add the fresh juices and orgeat syrup and shake aggressively.
- Double strain the mixture into the beverage glass.
- Pour the club soda over the mixture and stir gently.
- Garnish with sweet peppers and mint leaves.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing taste of this classic mocktail.
