Shinelle Jamie Smith currently serves as the Dean of Academic Services at the Tobago Hospitality and Tourism Institute. She is a researcher and tertiary-level educator in the fields of Hospitality, Tourism, Event Management, and Entrepreneurship, having designed and delivered courses at several higher education institutions throughout Trinidad and Tobago. Ms. Smith holds an Associate degree in Hospitality Management, a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism, a Master of Science in Tourism Development, a Master of Science in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a Master of Arts in Digital Teaching and Learning, and a CELTA certificate from Cambridge University. She is also a recipient of the prestigious Chevening scholarship where she pursued postgraduate training at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Having worked in event management for approximately 20 years, she has collaborated on the planning and managing of large-scale sporting events, international culinary competitions, cultural festivals, and she has also supported the protocol arrangements for several visiting delegations.
